1970s-themed parade to celebrate the Festival’s 50th Anniversary

Slide in to some flares, pop on some disco, East Finchley’s 70s parade is comin’ atcha! East Finchley Festival will celebrate its 50th this summer by returning to the 1970s and briging back an old tradition – the parade!

On Sunday 23 June, we will parade along the High Road (pavement only) from Martin School, to finish in front of the main stage in Cherry Tree Wood for the start of the festival at 12pm. There will be a prize for the best fancy dress.

We would love groups from local schools, sports clubs, pubs, or any other organisations to take part. Are you able to help with gathering a group from your school or club to participate? If so, please get in touch. We will also need volunteers (sign up here) to help steward the parade route.

Date: Sunday 23 June 2024

Start: 11.30am Martin School, Plane Tree Walk, N2 9JP

Finish: 12.00pm, Cherry Tree Wood
